I would recommend this half marathon. It has a highly competitive selection of people, the fastest male time was 1:18 and female was 1:26. The course takes you on a scenic tour of the city and takes you through some nice neighborhoods. There are a several inclines, but only a couple big hills to make your way over. The finish line is great too, because it is not just a half and full marathon, they have turned the entire weekend into a fitness festival so the finish line is very exciting with lots of spectators and food, and the participatory medal is really sweet as well.

I had mixed feelings about this race and the race organization. There were a number of pros and cons about the race. Overall, it was okay. The course was a relatively flat course, with a few hills mixed in. It took full advantage of the great running/biking path in Eau Claire that runs alongside the river. This race also had kids races, which didn't affect me, but if I had kids it would be a great family event. This race was my first 10K, so I do not have anything to compare it against, but my time was a hair faster than I was aiming for!
