This weekend was my sister's 28th birthday, so in typical birthday fashion I made sure she had a fantastic, relaxing time. For starters a pedicure. [Not sure why some of the pictures are distorted.]

There was a little mix up, so I sat it out while my sister and her friend got pampered. I was disappointed, especially after finishing 14 miles (a new PDR and PTR for me!) half an hour earlier, but there was no need to be a Debbie Downer.

On Saturday we had a little birthday party for her out at her house. Delicious food and lots of games and play time for the guests!

Fitness Plan
Monday: Easy run
Tuesday: Lift
Wednesday: Basketball
Thursday: Lift + Cardio
Friday: Run
Saturday: Shamrock Shuffle 5K
Sunday: Rest
This week's plan is pretty vague because this morning while I was out for my run I had some hip pain. I'm planning on doing a lot of stretching, foam rolling, and cross training this week in hopes of curing it quickly. This is the first running related "injury" (not sure I would call it an injury yet) I have ever had and it is purely from my lack of stretching...laziness. This is enough of a reminder to me that I am not invincible and I need to take care of my body on a regular basis, especially with increasing my mileage.
On another note, I officially signed up for the Eau Claire Half Marathon today! I have been planning on running it for some time, but finally actually signed up for it. I'm mad at myself for procrastinating for so long though, because I had to pay $10 extra because I missed the last deadline by a few days.

Now I just need to sign up for a full marathon, which I think will be the Twin Cities one in October! Anyone running that one?
Woo! Congrats on 14 miles!! :)
