Guess what?! I did it! I finished my first complete text book from cover-to-cover, all 359 pages of it! The fascinating part... I only started it three weeks ago! Talk about kicking butt! I know I'm a huge nerd for announcing this, but it's exciting AND I am pretty much done reading for my class now!
Alright, alright, onto bigger and less nerdier things... like yummy food!
Breakfast
Two slices of this bread toasted with honey on it... I love toast!
Lunch
Hummus wrap with onions, tomatoes, black beans, spinach, cheese and ranch. Winning combo... well, lets be honest any hummus wrap is a winning combo! What is your favorite kind of wrap?
Mid-Morning Snack
Can you can yumm?!
Dinner
Blueberry yogurt + grapes + chocolate granola AND sweet potato fries! Since I love any food that is hot, I decided to try to heat up my fries by sprinkling them with cayenne pepper and I made a hot sauce (ranch + Louisiana hot sauce) to dip them in. Yet another winning combo!
WORKOUT
I did this lifting routine around noon with my friend. Normally I would have done cardio before hand, but I was still feeling a little rough. But around 7 pm I was feeling a little more myself, so I decided to head down to my apartment fitness center and hop on the bike for 35 minutes. That's not as long as I would normally have gone, but I figure anything I could get done today is a bonus with how I started my morning. Back on the saddle tomorrow though!
It is currently 11:11 as I publish this.. make a wish! Do you do silly things like make wishes at 11:11?
I'm a nerd too so I appreciate you finishing a whole textbook! haha
ReplyDeleteAnd I used to do that all of the time at 11:11, I think I shall start again now that you reminded me :)
I used to call those times (9:09, 11:11, 12:12, etc.) "magic moments" and I always make a wish! Those sweet potato fries look tasty!
ReplyDelete:)
@Tessa @ Amazing Asset Making a wish at 11:11 is clearly the only way to get the things you want, so it makes sense to do it, right?! Haha!
ReplyDelete@Vanessa @ Gourmet Runner Not going to lie, I have never done any "magical moments" aside from 11:11, I will now officially think of you when I look at the clock and see those times!
ReplyDeleteFinally got a chance to check out your blog - I love it! I don't think I've read an entire textbook ever...and I'm a teacher! HA :) Good for you!!!
ReplyDelete@Nicole, RD Glad you made it over! My bf is a teacher too and I'm pretty sure he has never finished a whole one either lol... It's really quiet the nerdy accomplishment :)
