I dressed up like Darth Vader this morning and head out the door to fight Mother Nature....
...On a short 20 minute run. When I looked out the window this morning I saw that it was snowy pretty good, but I still had an itch to get out and get my blood flowing before I had to go to work. I got a little bit of shelter on my route from a tunnel, but that was pretty brief.
My turn around point was the old foot bridge. I love this bridge, it's pretty in the winter, but it's gorgeous in the summer and fall!
You can tell from the flag at the other end of the bridge that it was pretty windy. Wind + snow = snow blowing in your face.
I'm not sure what these ducks are thinking hanging out in Wisconsin in the winter! They are totally nutso! It is bad enough living on land during the winter, I can imagine what a cold bum I would have floating around in freezing cold water. I should do some research on them, because I don't know how it is possible they can be comfortable in that bitterly cold water. Brrrrr! Any duck experts out there?
Monday: Run 4 miles + lift
Tuesday: Run 3-5 miles
Wednesday: 30 minutes cardio + lift
Thursday: Run 4-5 miles
Saturday: Alumni basketball game at UW-L... WAHOO!
Sunday: Rest... it'll be needed!
