We started out by going for a little walk by the river.
Then we moved on over to a new little bar/restaurant in town called Dublin Square, where everything screamed Irish!
Including my meal... Shepard's pie! This dish was so awesome! The waitress said this was her favorite thing on the menu, so I took her word for it and ordered it. On the side was a raisin biscuit with honey butter.
Notice the newspaper, that was the lining in the basket. It featured a number of little news stories that had to do with Ireland.
After dinner we walked on down to a local ice cream shop called the Pearl. The Pearl is a little old fashioned ice cream parlor. When I say old fashioned, I mean it! They also sell every kind of candy (home made and manufactured) that has been around since at least the 80s... pop rocks, candy cigarettes, pez, malt balls, etc! They also make their own waffle cones, which was what we smelt when we walked in, mmm mmm mmm! After smelling the fresh waffle cones we both HAD to get one, mine was filled with cappucino oreo ice cream and he got blue moon.
Love, love, love this boy! And loved, loved, loved our day together :)

What a great time! I seriously love all that retro candy, I could have spent a fortune in a shop like that!
